1. This horsehair brush is crafted by Edoya, a brushmaker established in 1718 during the Edo period, renowned for its artisanal tradition.
2. Made with white horsehair and a beechwood handle finished in black lacquer, presented in an elegant black gift box.
3. The finest brush within the entire Columbus product line, representing the highest grade in both quality and craftsmanship.
4. Horsehair is valued for its softness and resilience—making it the most versatile among brush fibers, commonly used for dusting and gentle cleaning.
5. This brush is generously sized, with shorter bristles that allow efficient dust removal without requiring heavy pressure.
6. Despite its large dimensions, the brush is well-balanced, ensuring effortless handling without strain.

Tips

1. Softer bristles are not always better. In terms of practicality and versatility, the order of preference is: horsehair > boar bristle > wool.
2. This sequence applies universally—whether lambskin, calfskin, or other leathers.
3. Many assume brushing damages leather. In truth, it does not—even delicate skins such as lambskin remain unharmed.
4. Maintain a moderate pace while dusting or polishing; avoid moving too slowly.
5. When in use, the bristles should glide with their tips—avoid pressing deeply into the leather.

Precautions

• Keep away from open flames.
• If accidental contact with eyes occurs, rinse immediately and seek medical advice.
• Not for consumption. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
• Outer box, if included, is consumable and not considered a defect.
